Solas VR is a new meditation app that helps reduce stress
In all that has happened in the past year, taking care of your mental health as well as your physical has been more important than ever. Fortunately, a number of new applications continued to emerge in the VR space to help users meditate and find relaxation in an incredibly hectic world. Another of these applications has recently gained prominence for the same reason.
Solas VR is the name of the application in question that has been used for VR headsets in the past few months. The program uses a selection of videos from nature to relax the user. While this may not sound like it would be effective, the developers at Solas VR say that placing users in environments of this type essentially trick their bodies into releasing endorphins that are normally released when one is normally outdoors. By releasing these hormones, those using Solas VR can find a sense of calm that is normally difficult to achieve on a busy day.
In fact, these short breaks from the real world are said to be of great benefit to people. The developers at Solas VR say that “micro-pauses” are incredibly helpful and can even help increase your attention span. “Sola’s VR experiences enable microbreaks that actively lead to more rest, stress reduction and an overall better psychological well-being,” explains the app’s website.
The special thing about Solas VR compared to competitors who offer experiences in this direction is that the app offers guided meditation routines. The Solas VR website states that this is “the perfect option to reconnect with people and take some time off.” While other apps like this one might get you straight into a particular setting, Solas VR holds Your hand a little more.
Perhaps the best thing about Solas VR is that if you want to try it out for yourself, you can try it for free. Solas VR has a free trial program that allows users to access a demo of the software. This will give you access to a meditation option to see if it is right for you. However, if you want to unlock the entire Solas VR experience, the service typically costs € 9.99 per month. And if paying a recurring amount of money seems a little too expensive, Solas VR itself is updated regularly to ensure that there is always new content available to check out. Conversely, a “Friends & Family” package is also available.
Although the world is slowly returning to normal after the pandemic threw a wrench in all plans for 2020, it stands to reason that 2021 will continue to be difficult in some ways. If you’re still not out and about that much, or if you go outside and are used to it, this might be a great alternative. Again, it’s important that we keep ourselves sane now as we are in shape. Maybe this application could be just what you need to make your days so much smoother.
Solas VR is now available for download on Oculus Go, Oculus Quest, Pico and mobile virtual reality devices. If you want to know more about the app, you can check out the official website here
